Faces of Europe, the online photoblog that aims to show the human diversity of our continent, has been selected as the national winner of Romania in the Charlemagne Youth Prize 2017 competition. Since early 2016 more than 100 blogs have been published that all reflect personal stories of everyday Europeans, thereby sharing the voices and faces from people with different cultural backgrounds.
The Charlemagne Youth Prize is awarded annually to youth projects that show active participation in the development of Europe and foster a shared sense of European identity. Previous winners include AEGEE-Europe`s Europe on Track project. You can find more information on the award here.
The photoblog series will now be evaluated by a European jury that consists of three members of the European Parliament, the President of the European Parliament and four representatives of the Foundation of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen. This jury will select the winner out of 28 submissions in May 2017 in Aachen.
